Illuminating People is looking for a Website and brand Designer to join our fully remote agency, managed from Bali.
Our team help aspiring online coaches to reach their audience, by developing detailed business plans, messaging, brand, and web designs for them.
We also provide a number of white-labeled templates, such as eBooks and Workbooks, that can be re-purposed to help them get started.

The Role
Who it's for
This is a great opportunity for a talented self starter who wants to work with passionate small business owners, while being completely location independent and encouraged to travel.
We plan to grow our business significantly over the next 12 months so we want this role to be given to someone ambitious who can grow with us, taking on more responsibility and helping us to better our process over time.
As our lead designer, you’ll bring your own ideas and processes with you, to help us shape our how we serve clients and collaborate as a team. Most importantly, you’ll bring positive energy in to the team and be enthusiastic about our mission.
The Role
Working directly with the Founder, Calvin, you’ll help take clients through our 10 Week Signature process. Calvin will lead the clients through the business strategy, messaging and planning before we introduce you to co-host discovery workshops and establish the brand identity.
From there, you’ll have 4 week long sprints to develop the brand elements, fonts, and overall style guide for the clients. Once we’re aligned on the style, you’ll be responsible for designing Figma mock-ups for their website.
In between client projects you’ll work on a variety of internal projects, from creating white labeled workbook templates, to helping our affiliate coaches create branded learning materials. These assets will then be sold through our online store which will launch next month.

- Editing client photography use on their websites
- Crafting our delivery process
- Collaborating with web designers and content marketers
- Creating social graphics and paid ad collateral
The skills you'll need
All of the sites we build are in the online coaching space, with our clients teaching courses on Business, Mindset, and Lifestyle. We’re looking for somebody who has experience working within this niche and who can share examples of their designs.
With the nature of our clients, there is often a lot of information to layout. The right designer will be able to consult clients on how to structure their content to make it engaging for their audience.
As our resident design expert, we’d expect you to hit the ground running with expert knowledge of the platforms we use. We don’t necessarily need you to know how to build sites with Elementor, but a working knowledge of their component and limitations, is a huge benefit.

Your Experience
- 3+ Years as a Brand and Web Designer
- Experienced creating designs for the coaching industry
- Confident presenting and hosting workshops
- Self starter able to work in silo, while keeping accountable to timelines
- Great communicator and team player
- Passionate about educational design
- Any formal UX Design education, courses or internships would be preferred
- Agency Experience is a plus but no required

All we ask is that you deliver the work on time and make yourself available for meetings.
We’ll pay you on a monthly basis as a contractor. That means, you’ll create an invoice for us and we’ll send the money to you via Transferwise.
As an international business this is the easiest way for us to protect you from overpaying taxes.
